[linux-tr] LF to MAC MTU mapping

Hi there,

does anybody know what causes the different LF to MAC MTU mapping in
RFC1042 and RFC2470 ?

A different issue: Is it intended that the linux TR layer doesn't filter
out its own broadcasts? If you send a broadcast over TR, it appears twice
in the tcpdump output (once for sending it and another time when it's
received back after traveling a round on the ring)?

I'm asking because this echo currently irritates the DAD (Duplicate
Address Detection) process for IPv6 as specified in RFC1971.
