[linux-tr] out of memory

I've got two PCI token ring cards in my box and i'm doing this:
        echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/all/forwarding
        echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/all/proxy_arp
        # bridgett gorgon rocket medusa
        PROXYHOSTS="9.20.5.107 9.20.11.73 9.20.22.68 9.20.15.17"
        for i in $PROXYHOSTS
        do
                route add -host $i dev tr1
                ip rule add dev tr0 to $i table main
        done

Today, these turned up in syslog:
Aug 13 09:09:08 wyvern kernel: tr0: Not enough memory to copy packet to
upper layers.  
Aug 13 09:09:16 wyvern last message repeated 811 times
Aug 13 09:09:16 wyvern kernel: tr1: Not enough memory to copy packet to
upper layers.  
Aug 13 09:09:16 wyvern kernel: tr1: Not enough memory to copy packet to
upper layers.  
Aug 13 09:09:16 wyvern kernel: tr0: Not enough memory to copy packet to
upper layers.  

This may not be a TR problem, as I had some strange experienceds with loop
mounted CD images around 9 :-)

Just thought it was worth mentioning.
